Topic 1  I hate scams!

1.a scam:a dishonest scheme

2.a scammer:a person who runs  a scam

3. to scam:to trick someone into giving money or other valuable items.

4.a rip-off:a situation where you are cheated.

5.to rip off:to cheat someone.

例：I got ripped off.

6.a fake:a copy of somethign valuable.

7.counterfeit:an exact imitation of something

8.a knockoff:an item made to look like something more expensive.

9.phlishing:to trick people,usually via email or text message into giving personal information

拓展：fishing(同音）:to catch fish using a fishing rod or net.

10.to get away with：to not get caught for illegal activity.

11.to fall for something：to believe something that isn’t true.

12.to prey on:to target specific people to take advantage of them.

13.to walk away:to leave a situation or ignore something.
