When Klein ran away from Ince while Ince was fighting with Mr Azik, Ince tried to curse Klein with bad luck but it did not affect Klein. Now the good luck blessing did not work on Klein as well. It seems Klein somehow can resist power that affect luck in both good and bad ưay.

Even if Leonard figures out what Klein did as Moriarty, he never did anything explicitly wrong. He even made sure the nighthawks were involved in critical issues. Leonard can't use anything against him. And I think future Tarot Club members are just going to be stronger, as Kleins powers grow. The grey fog tends to attract people who are useful to Klein, so the stronger he gets, the stronger his helpers need to be.

1st, we have a prime candidate already which is Xio. She doesn't have additional problems.

2nd, Klein doesn't really have a means to deal with that Angel as of now.

3rd, Leonard seems a bit more troublesome than even Alger. He might report it. Most important is Leonard will likely not ever pray to the Fool. He knows it is too dangerous and even the Angel grandpa wouldn't be able to save him from a "deity" 😂. It's not something they can predict how it will go.

Not that Klein wouldn't work with him. Klein would work with him normally in disguise since their goals align - revenge then increasing strength

If he looks into Sherlock's neighbors' dreams, then he might be able to see what Klein looked like when he first arrived in Backlund. If he recognizes Klein, then he'll rush over to Tingen and exhume is grave to find a surprise.

This chapter reminds me of how Klein really acted like James Moriarty in that he hand his hands in a whole lotta pies and manipulated things from the outskirts.

I think it makes the most sense for it to be a difference in purpose of the tools. One is designed to bring a person to the Gray Fog, and perhaps much more interestingly (just a guess) the other is designed to bring the gray fog to the material world. Somewhat opposite but with the same general purpose, building a bridge between worlds.
