There is a saying: Bread is the staff of life. Since ancient times, Chinese food culture has several thousand years of tradition.

        俗语曰：民以食为天。自古以来，中国饮食文化已有几千年的历史。

As China covers a large territory and has many ethnic groups, it has a variety of Chinese food with different but fantastic flavor, and many places have lots of local food. For example, Beijing Roast Duck, Chongqing hot pot, Wuhan hot-dry noodles with sesame paste, etc.

        中国地域辽阔，民族众多，因此有多种多样不同且美味的中国饮食口味，而且许多地方还有许多当地特色美食。例如：北京烤鸭、重庆火锅、武汉芝麻酱热干面等等。

Xuzhou, as a famous historical and cultural city, has not only lots of places of interest but also various delicious foods. Today Yang Xichen will introduce one of local foods —La pi in Suining to you.

        徐州，作为一座历史文化名城，不仅拥有诸多旅游景点，还有花样颇多的美食。今天杨希晨同学将为大家介绍当地美食之一——睢宁腊皮。

Hello everyone, my name is Yang Xichen. I am from Class 8, Grade 5.

大家好，我叫杨希晨，我来自五年级8班。

My hometown is Xuzhou. Its original name is 'Pengcheng', with 6000-year splendid culture. As a beautiful city with a long history, Xuzhou embraces many historical sites, places of interest and delicious food. Today I would like to introduce our local food —La pi in Suining to you. It is a famous dish which origins from the Song dynasty. The main materials are mung beans, sweet potatoes and the starch in potatoes. The most popular and easiest method is to make it a cold dish.

        我的家乡是徐州，它原来的名字叫“彭城”，有着6000年的辉煌历史。作为一个有着悠久历史的美丽城市，徐州拥有许多历史遗迹，旅游景点和美食。今天我想要向大家介绍我们当地的特色食物——睢宁腊皮。这是一道起源于宋朝的美食。主要的原材料是绿豆，番薯和土豆中所含有的淀粉。最流行最容易的方式就是把它做成一道凉菜。

First of all, prepare some Lapi, cut one cucumber into shreds, then add some salt,sugar,vinegar and other spices, finally, we stir all the materials well. Look, the dish is done! The color is bright. Let's taste it. Mmm! It's sour, sweet and smooth. It's really a popular cold dish in summer.

        首先，准备一些腊皮，把黄瓜切成丝，然后加入盐、糖、醋和其他香料，最后将所有材料拌匀，这道菜就完成了。色泽诱人，尝一口，酸酸的、甜甜的、滑溜溜的。真不愧是夏季流行的一道凉菜啊!
