凯特.温斯莱特曾凭借《泰坦尼克号》名声享誉全球，但她并没有昙花一现，如今依然活跃在大众视野，拥有很多脍炙人口的影视作品，同时获奖无数。如果说上天给了她一个好运气让她成名，那么支撑她走到今天的绝不是运气那么简单了。

在采访中，可以感受到凯特是一名非常清醒的智者。她并没有被一时的名气冲昏头脑，而是将其作为自己前行的动力。

1、坚定信念，持之以恒

I'm often asked this question of what advice would I give to aspiring actress or actor. The thing I do find myself saying often is you just don't ever give up. If acting is something you feel is in your veins and in your DNA, and you just want to do it and believe that you should and believe that you can. And if you keep believing that enough and you keep working hard, because this is not going to be handed to you on a plate. Then that's more important than anything else.

我经常被问到对于那些渴望成为演员的人，我会给予什么建议。每当此时，我会对他们说，永远不要放弃。如果演戏是你内心深处的激情，是你血液中流淌的基因，如果你坚信自己应该追寻这个梦想，坚信自己一定能够实现它。如果你有着坚定的信念，而且你一直不懈努力。因为成功并不会轻易降临在你的眼前，需要付出更多的努力和坚持。然而，持之以恒地付出努力，这些比任何其他因素都更加重要。

2、决心和自信，会给你带来机会

Determination and confidence will get you everywhere. Especially when you walking into an audition room, because if you walk into an audition room when you're terrified and desperate, then they'll smell it on you, and you're less likely to get the job. But if you just believe in yourself and you work hard and you walk in there, and bring confidence and good positive energy with you, you're much more likely to get another looking.

决心与自信将引领你走向成功之路。特别是在你去试镜时，如果你步入试镜室时，是感到恐惧和绝望的，那么面试官很容易就会感受到。此时，你成功的机会就会大大降低。然而，如果你充满自信地相信自己、不断努力，并带着正能量和自信走进试镜室，你就会获得更多的机会和青睐。

3、挑战会驱使你做到更好

I live my life you know every time I'm cast in a film, I'm equally as terrified as I was about the challenge. When I did my first film at 17, and when I did Titanic, and when I did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, when I did The Reader. You know, that fear I think is what drives me to be honest. You know acting is such a wonderful thing to do, and I love it, and I love it more as I'm getting older I think. But it is scary, because you can easily get it wrong.

我选择过着这样的生活，每当我被选中出演一部电影时，我总是像面对挑战一样恐惧。当我17岁时拍摄我的第一部电影，以及当我拍摄《泰坦尼克号》、《失忆症患者》和《朗读者》时，那种恐惧感一直存在。但我认为，正是这种恐惧驱使着我去做到更好。演戏是一件非常美妙的事情，我爱它，而且随着年龄的增长，我越来越爱表演。但同时它也很可怕，因为你很容易就会出错。

4、努力勤奋最重要

Five key traits to be successful. I don't know if I really got five. I mean I think I'll certainly say one of them would be to work hard. You know because I do think that we live in a time now where it's quite easy to get a sort of full sense of celebrity or fame, and to aspire towards celebrity and fame without even taking into account steps that you need to take to get to achieve that thing.

成功的五个关键特质，虽然我不确定是否准确列出了这五个特质，但我可以明确地说一点就是勤奋工作。如今的社会让人很容易成为名人获得名声，人们渴望成名或名人身份，但往往忽略为实现这个目标所需的付出和努力。

I think it's making young people lose that sense of work ethic. You know if you believe that something you want to do, and you want to be successful at it. It will not just come to you. You have to work to what's achieving that goal. No one else is gonna achieve it for you. It’s you've only got yourself to rely on.

我认为这让年轻人失去了工作道德感。你知道，如果你相信自己想要做某件事情，并且想要在这方面取得成功，那么它不会轻易降临到你身上。你必须为实现这个目标而努力工作。没有人会替你实现它。你只能依靠自己。

5、要坚持的价值观有哪些

And I would say so self-reliance really, determination, confidence, positivity and staying healthy, you know. I think healthy in your mind and in your body, especially at this time that we live in now where I think there is a lot of pressure, there's a lot of exposure. I think it's difficult to be private for young people who aren't even in public eye, just children who are at school. And hang on to that sense of privacy because once you give it away, it's very very hard to get it back. And just self-respect I think that are things that important.

我认为自力更生、决心、自信、积极心态以及保持身心健康是非常重要的。尤其是在当下这个充满压力和曝光的时代，对那些不处于公众视野中的年轻人和学生来说，要保持隐私感是非常困难的。要珍惜这种隐私感，因为一旦失去它，就很难再次获得。自尊，也是非常重要。
