最近在循环Midnight Rain的时候，突然产生了一个大胆（xiaochou）的想法：

歌中的女主会不会就是成名以后的Dorothea?

代入这个视角 我从三首歌中找到了很多相通之处：

1、女主渴望追求事业

He wanted a bride, I was making my own name

他想要一位新娘，我却渴望扬名立万

Chasing the Fame, he stayed the same

我追名逐利，他却初心不变

而我会回到洛杉矶和那些所谓的朋友身边

3.双方性格存在差异

He was sunshine, I was midnight rain

他如同明媚阳光，我却是午夜细雨。

这句歌词无论是从《Dorothea》与《'tis the damn season》的曲风还是两人的性格来看，都能对应。

4.离开后女主性格的转变

All of me changed like midnight

午夜钟声响起，我已全然改变。

但你的灵魂还和曾经我在看台下遇见的你一样吗？

这里He never thinks of me虽然与Dorothea中男主的态度不同，但毕竟在季节中女主也提到了男主的态度变得冷漠

It's the kind of cold, fogs up windshield glass

如笼罩挡风玻璃的雾气般寒冷

我却在经过你时感受到了

也暗示了男主可能已另寻新欢

If I wanted to know who you were hanging with

虽然Taylor已经在序言中明确了'tis the damn season和dorothea是同一故事线，但男主在两首歌的态度却截然不同，毕竟两首歌的时间线和叙事视角都不同。所以Midnight Rain中的态度转变也是可以理解的。推测Midnight Rain可能是Dorothea在离开了可能十年后的视角，这时男主已不再对她那般热情，甚至可能已经将她忘记。

以上为我围绕这个猜想展开的一些探索。但毕竟午夜雨与另外两首歌不在同一张专辑中，有些关联点可能也比较牵强，所以可能性应该不大，就当留一个pov了~
