特朗普扬言放出“最恶毒的狗”，骂谁呢！
5月31日晚至6月1日凌晨，美国示威者不顾宵禁，聚集在白宫周围抗议，并与军警发生冲突。白宫附近多处起火，白宫被迫关闭所有外部灯光，陷入一片黑暗。美国总统特朗普31日避入掩体。
这已经不是特朗普第一次躲进掩体了，5月29日特朗普在特勤人员的护送下，在地下掩体待了不到一个小时。
然而，5月30日一早，特朗普又一次放出狠话，威胁称：谁敢越过白宫围栏，就“将会遇到我见过的最凶猛的狗和最可怕的武器”。
特朗普“火上浇油”，揭开历史伤疤
针对特朗普近日的一系列言论，CNN的一篇评论文章称，他这是在“火上浇油”（he added to the flames instead）。
特朗普提到狗，使很多人想起上世纪五六十年代的美国黑人民权运动时期，南方警察也曾放狗攻击为黑人争取平权的示威者。

Headley was head of the police force for 20 years and referred to his "get tough" policy on crime during a 1967 news conference as a war on "young hoodlums, from 15 to 21, who have taken advantage of the civil rights campaign. ... We don't mind being accused of police brutality."

6月1日，美众议院议长佩洛西（Nancy Pelosi）在美国广播公司的《本周》（This Week）节目中说，特朗普不应该在全国各地的抗议活动中“火上浇油（fuel the flame）”。
她称特朗普的推文就是诱饵，引诱人们上钩，从而转移注意力，不再关注他是如何回应这一事件的。
“I think to take his bait time and time again is just a gift to him because he always wants to divert attention from what the cause of the response was,” she added.
另一名民主党人士、非裔立法者Karen Bass认为，特朗普这是在鼓励对非裔美国人使用暴力：

It is a disgrace when the leader of the country responds to a national crisis by insulting the people that are being attacked.
