塞上听吹笛

雪净胡天牧马还，月明羌笛戍楼间。
借问梅花何处落，风吹一夜满关山。
From northwestern lands where ice and snow doth yield,
The soldiers returned from herding steeds in barren field,
Beneath the moon's fair light some melodies took flight,
As the flute played, from some lonely outpost, from dusk to night.
May I ask, where might the "Plum Blossom Song" be found,
Full of love and beauty, of a melody so renowned?
They scattered o'er the mountains with the midnight breeze,
As those plum blossoms do, leave no trace to seize.
