I felt my heart clench at the shot of the bull tearing up before it died, and I thought about how the world, the society, is the bullfighting stage itself. We all are the bulls, the fighters and the audience. The bull cannot escape the fighter, the fighter cannot escape the bull, the revengeful bull cannot escape the vicious crowds, and the crowds ultimately cannot escape environmental and societal destruction if they continue down this hedonistic and heartless path.

One thing I keep thinking about is that the original term for "bullfighter", "matador", can be translated more accurately as "killer". Not a heroic fighter, just someone who kills. And if you look closer at what really happens in that arena, the distinction is even more meaningful. I think this song and this video capture that very, very well.

I know Hua Chenyu has said in the past that the doesn't like to make music videos, but the ones he has made before have been under the control and vision of someone else. Now we can see the level of quality that we get when he is in control. Any of his enemies still standing had better take a good, hard look at this video and see what he is capable of if they don't already know. The amount of creativity and professionalism in this one video is enough that if they're not shaking in their shoes, they should be. This man is absolutely a force to be reckoned with. I sincerely hope he continues to make music videos for his songs so that his vision and message are clearly and unmistakably obvious to anyone.

I feel like I've managed to get in on the ground floor of the career of someone who is going to be one of the most well-known and highly-regarded musical artists in history. As much as I love and appreciate other artists like D, I can't imagine the world moving forward without HCY. I had become bored of music coming from UK/US/Europe. Years of stagnation. The Stars who HAD moved music in different ways by covering lots of genres, Bowie, George Michael, Freddie Mercury were slowing their output or had died. I was watching Vitas, then found Dimash and then Hua Hua. Dimash has a wonderful voice BUT Hua Hua has a wonderful voice, amazing musical mind and an endearingly charming personality. He has become the new Freddie Mercury, and is pushing music in multiple directions. He is a stunning performer and has a large say in how his songs/performances are staged. His music/emotions speak to me, and... I don't know Chinese. Surely an extraordinary ability. To hold the attention of audiences who don't know the words but feel the emotion. English subtitles just clarify what I am feeling, and why. I'm eternally grateful to those who translate for us, who let me FULLY experience his music, and his off stage interviews. The world needs to know of Hua Chenyu, and I'm trying my hardest to tell as many as possible. 😉
I also have to say, it has been joyful over the past year, to see him become more at peace with himself and the world. Some of his earlier backstage videos were quite sad or worrying to watch. He now appears much happier, and more confident, although retaining the sweet charm we all love him for. 👍

When I first saw the mv I was immersed. Everything about it conveyed the song's message well. Brilliant animation. I teared up during the classical part.
When we see the world around us there is a feeling of hopelessness and disgust, but we can also choose a different path. The health of the world, the goodness of people. Humans are contradictory, but we can recognize those contradictions in ourselves to better ourselves, or we can be stuck in the same cycle of everyone else. We can choose to be cruel, but we can also choose to be kind. Being cruel doesn't benefit anyone. And when we are kind, even if our kindness is not acknowledged, we know our own actions in our hearts. Even those of us who wish to live as observers may not be able to escape the cruelty of the world. The Bullfighting song and music video has so many messages it conveys. It deals with human nature, the respect for life, the satisfaction of sin, and so much more. its hard for me to put into words gracefully and without it being too long.
The entire album is a masterpiece.

How is the power class in this world actually structured? Some of those images were truly hard to watch. The gleeful joy of killing a bull. Of watching the blood match between the matador and the bull. It was an eerie imagery and showed the POV from each side. The world's a stage and the audience is waiting to tear the weak apart, eager to participate.
