范文:
In the present-day society, there has been a heated debate revolving around whether paying taxes to the government is reasonable for ordinary citizens. This issue is not as simplistic as many people think, so I will elucidate阐释 it from both sides before voicing my own perspective.
The resentment憎恨 of taxation is usually stemming from源自于 people’s misunderstanding of its principles原理. They solely ascribe归因于 their financial success to their own diligence勤奋, perseverance毅力 and persistence坚持, deeming governmental levies赋税 as heavy burdens of their life.
However, I think people who harbor持有 the pessimistic悲观的 view about taxation usually turn a blind eye to对…熟视无睹 the benefits of it. First and foremost, taxation is a vital method of redistribution再分配 of national wealth, which levies a larger portion of wealthypeople’s income to subsidize the disadvantaged穷人. It is the detailed细致的 laws of tax that address the disparity差异 between different social classes社会阶层, avoidingsome underlying潜在的 social conflicts and friction矛盾冲突. Furthermore, tax money is the major source of public funds, one of whose essential roles is to maintain countries’ infrastructure基础设施 and guarantee people’s wellbeing. The construction of public facilities, like parks, squares, avenues, hospitals and stadiums体育馆are all sponsored by the budgets allocated分配 from the government, which is actually from those hardworking taxpayers纳税人. If there was no one willing to pay tax to the country, they would also not be entitled to有权做某事 enjoy the wellbeing provided by it, including healthcare医保, compulsory education义务教育, pension养老金 and so on.
In a nutshell简而言之, although considered as a financial burden by some, we can still see the rationale根本原因of taxation: what is harvested收获 from the public is finally used on the amelioration改善 of social benefits. 270
