1.3 表示隐喻
1.The kaleidoscope of shifting interests of the nations during the negotiation made it impossible to sort out the “winners” and “losers”.
谈判期间,各国的利益变化不定,好像万化筒似的,这就使人难以分辨出究竟谁是“胜者 “,谁是“输家”。
注意这句中的短语“made it impossible”,与“opens a possibility”、“give somebody a platform and an opportunity”,还有动词“permit”、“allow”、“invite”等放在一起学习,后面会把 它们放在一起总结。
