Tough and highly oriented all-cellulose sponge-aerogel fibers engineered with a graded nanostructure and superb thermal insulating performance were fabricated by a flow-assisted dynamic dual-cross-linking strategy in a microfluidic spinning system. This strategy is green, facile, and highly efficient, enabling the fabrication of high-performance polysaccharide-based fibers via a low carbon footprint method.

Bubbles at the 2D van der Waals heterostructure interface are undesirable, but they can be used as probing tools to listen to the interface properties of the heterostructure. Here, we did a systematic study of resonator tuning of nanomechanical devices while tailoring  the interface bubbles of a 2D heterostructure.

We demonstrate selective area growth of germanium nanowire networks on a Si substrate. Low-temperature magneto-transport measurements through the wires reveal phase-coherent hole transport and a strong spin-orbit interaction. The observed properties make this nanowire network system a scalable platform for realizing spin qubit logic with holes.
