二、冠词

概念：一般用在名词的前面，对名词起限定作用，不能离开名词存在。

 

1.      不定冠词，a、 an

用在单数可数名词前面泛指一类人或物中的任何一个

a用在辅音音标开头的名词之前

an用在元音音标开头的名词之前(A E I P O U)

a dog    a banana    an egg    an orange

 

2.  定冠词，the

(1)用在单数或复数，可数名词之前，也可用在不可数名词之前，表示特指的人或物之前

The man on the chair is Jane.

(2)指说话人双方都知道的人或物前

Lily, close the door, please.

(3)在上文提过第二次又提到的人或物前

There is a man under the tree, the man is Jane.

(4)世界上独一无二的事物

The sun is bigger than the moon.

(5)用在由普通名词构成的专有名词前

I want to go to the Great Wall.

(7)在乐器前

He often plays the piano.

 

3.      零冠词：名词前不用冠词的情况

季节、星期、假期、三餐、球类和棋类不用冠词

Have breakfast

On children's day

On monday

Play basketball
