305S19 (1.4303) is a chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel with low work hardening rate due to high nickel content. This low work hardening rate makes this grade very suitable for multi-stage deep drawing applications without process annealing, in which 305S19 (1.4303)/304L may have cracking problems. In order to minimize the earrings in the drawing process, the directivity introduced in the cold rolling process must be kept to a minimum. Attention should be paid to the drawing quality when ordering this alloy. It is non-magnetic under annealing and cold working conditions, and has corrosion resistance similar to 305S19 (1.4303)/304L stainless steel. The deep drawability is higher than the standard 305S19 (1.4303) grade. It is reasonable to expect the specifications in these standards to be similar but not necessarily identical to those given in this data sheet.
