60.1 Sed ubi omnibus rebus exploratis Petreius tuba signum dat, cohortis paulatim incedere iubet; idem facit hostium exercitus.

洛：When Petreius, after making all his preparations, gave the signal with the trumpet, he ordered his cohorts to advance slowly; the army of the enemy followed their example.

试：But when all things ascertained Petreius gave the signal by trumpet, he ordered the cohorts to advance gradually; enemies’ army made the same.

洛：When Petreius saw that Catiline was making so much stronger a fight than he had expected, he led his praetorian cohort against the enemy's centre, threw them into confusion, and slew those who resisted in various parts of the field; then he attacked the rest on both flanks at once.

试：When Petreius saw Catiline, and he had thought the opposite, strove with great strength, he led the cohort of commander to the middle enemies and he destroyed those in disorder and others resisting elsewhere. Then he attacked the rest from the both other sides.

60.6 Manlius et Faesulanus in primis pugnantes cadunt.

洛：Manlius and the man from Faesulae were among the first to fall, sword in hand.
