So ,everywhere I go ,I will dig out the history as much as I can before I land in that place . Before I went to UK , I did review different prestigious novels about UK ,such as jane, the comedies of 莎士比亚 and when I travelled there ,I could combine what I learnt from books with what I saw practically.

Well ,I don’t think most people do that ,it is case by case ,different people have different preference towards whether or not prefer for their trips .
For those who pay attention to cultural exploration as I mentioned ,they will do ,like I will do .
However ,for those who travel with groups instead of travelling alone ,it is not necessary for them to do as/since the agency has already arranged everything in order for them
Are there any disadvantages of doing that ?

Well ,for me ,I dont not see any drawbacks of doing so ,except that you need to spend some time studying first .
And the fact is that if you don’t do so ,you will be likely to take some risks ,such as the culture shock or some real danger if you are in a place where stealing is popular .
Some people choose to go with a guide to unfamiliar place, ,do you think it will improve the quality of the experience?
Well ,it still depends on the style of your traveling
If you are used to go with others or guides ,yes ,having someone lead you will be more comfortable for you .from this point of view ,yes ,it will improve your experience of travelling especially if you visit come historical sites. Having some guide explaining to you on the way will impress you in a better way .
However, for some adventurists like me ,I would prefer to explore by myself ,and the unexpected is what I look for in my trips as I always welcome unknown things .

well ,I am traveler who prefers to do cultural travelling ,and connecting with local people matters more to me compared to seeing the nature views .
I did spend 3 years going through the whole American continent ,I did go through numerous wonderful sceneries .but what left deepest impression is still the story which happened between me and locals, among which the most unforgettable is the story when I was in peru ,living with an indigenous family ….
