The three components of the mission carry afull complement of scientific instruments. Among other things, they will studythe moon’s mineral and chemical composition and its topology and seismology.
India’s first moon mission, Chandrayaan 1,launched in October 2008 and operated successfully for almost a year. As partof the mission, an impact probe struck the moon’s south pole in a controlledmanner.
Chandrayaan 2 will launch from the SatishDhawan Space Centre on India’s south-east coast.

It’s refreshing to see the progressivespace program of India - a testament to the work by the technologicaladvancements.
However, a country with such a low literacyrate, widening wealth gap, religious persecution, and fewer job opportunitiesbegs a question.... Surely the money invested in the space program can bearranged for other necessities.
I’m sure the governments at this stage areaware of the current issues but again hubris is one’s greatest enemy. I mayseem like I’m stating the obvious here but it just seem like Modi wants toshowcase how ‘advanced’ Hindustan has become.
