Efficient tour conducted by personable, knowledgeable guide

The tour of the panda breeding centre was memorable for the viewing of the pandas, both giant and red -- a highlight of any visit to Chengdu and Sichuan -- but equally for the conversations I enjoyed with Emma, our tour guide, who was well-informed and educated as well as polite, and whose proficiency in English was excellent. It was a real pleasure to talk with a modern young Chinese person. She had useful tips for avoiding crowds and knowledge about the various panda enclosures and facilities. The driver was very good too.

Our guide Worley was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about the Pandas and China in general. She always made sure that we were as comfortable as possible. The car was clean and air conditioned, the driver good. We would recommend her highly to anyone searching for an English speaking guide.

Would like be able to give a better review but not possible. Booking the tour was ease and even was able communicate some with the tour service. My question is, since they knew where were staying and the length of drive, why they did not pick us up earlier. Secondly, the first words for our guide after introducing themselves was ‘would you like to upgrade’ your tour? Not a good start! We then headed to the Pandas. We used google map to watch our progress and could not believe the route they took....it seemed we went on a giant circle, 30 minute drive took 1 hour. The guide spent most of her time talking with my wife so then I would have to get info second hand. We felt hurried through most of the morning and had to force the guide to slow us to see things she wanted to bypass. After the tour surprisingly, even with additional traffic, the 1 hour drive only took 30 minutes.
