We uncovered a new important plasmonic contributor in plasmon-mediated chemical reactions: the plasmoelectric potential. A convenient method to quantify the individual contribution of the plasmoelectric potential (blue and minus sign), hot electron (green and h, e), and thermal effect (red) in O2 electroreduction at an excited plasmonic Ag electrode was established.

Carbon-encapsulated electrocatalysts are widely reported, but the structure‒property relationships are poorly understood. Utilizing the native ligand carbonization strategy, we managed to prepare various carbon-encapsulated MoS2 monolayers with well-defined shell thicknesses and uncover their thickness-dependent volcano-type catalytic activities in the acidic hydrogen evolution reaction.

We show that for spherical-like CsPbBr3 QDs with diameters >6 nm, excitons are confined with respect to their center-of-mass motion leading to well-pronounced resonances in their absorption spectra. Optical pumping of the lowest-confined exciton not only bleaches all excitons but also reveals a series of distinct induced absorption resonances due to exciton-to-biexciton transitions. Our study provides the first insight into confined excitons in CsPbBr3 QDs and gives a detailed understanding of their linear and nonlinear optical spectra.

The injectable thermosensitive chitosan hydrogel loaded with the IRF5 mRNA/CCL5 siRNA (LPR) nanoparticle complex (LPR@CHG) upregulates IRF5 and downregulates the CCL5 secretion to reprogram the anti-tumoral immune niche, which contributes to a significant increase in M1 phenotype macrophages and initiates T cell-mediated immune responses.

We have adopted a new approach to obtain a robust modulation of a magnetic semiconductor by surface molecular modification and probed both sides of the metal‒insulator transition by n- and p-type doping.
