Netflix released its first trailer for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new docuseries while the Prince and Princess of Wales are visiting Boston for the Earthshot Prize

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry dropped a bombshell while the Prince and Princess of Wales embark on their first U.S. trip in eight years.

On Thursday, Netflix released the first trailer for its upcoming six-part documentary on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex titled "Harry & Meghan." In one shot, the former American actress is seen wiping away tears while another clip shows a very stern Prince William and Kate Middleton from the 2019 Commonwealth Day ceremony.

"There’s no denying that the trailer has been properly dropped at this time to potentially overshadow William and Kate’s visit to America and kind of switch the focus to the Sussexes," Kerene Barefield told Fox News Digital. Barefield is an executive producer for True Royalty TV, which recently launched a documentary titled "Prince William: Duty Calls," exploring how the father of three, who is first in line to the throne, is preparing to become king.

Kennedy, was chosen to host the second annual prize ceremony because of the late president’s 1962 "moonshot" speech — setting the challenge for Americans to reach the moon by the end of the decade. It inspired the prince and his partners to set a similar goal for finding solutions to climate change and other environmental problems by 2030.

There’s the potential that maybe they’re going to talk about those brotherly issues and perhaps even the problems Meghan and Kate had. It’s a brilliant trailer and it certainly makes you want to watch, but I don’t think for me that the timing was particularly right."

As much as William and Middleton attempt to have their eyes on the prize, they're likely to face questions about the Sussexes, who have criticized the royal family for racism and insensitive treatment in interviews with Oprah Winfrey and other U.S. media.

Markle spoke on stage just before William and Middleton flew into Boston.

On Dec. 6, Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, are scheduled to attend the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization's Ripple of Hope Award Gala in New York City.

But I just don’t think that’s the case anymore. They have their own star power."

Nick Bullen, the co-founder of True Royalty TV, told Fox News Digital that there’s no denying that the Netflix docuseries will impact King Charles III. Bullen is an award-winning documentarian who has been producing programs about the British royal family for 20 years and has worked closely with the 74-year-old for about a decade.
