今天的论坛非常重要，也非常及时。因为我们的世界，正处于二战结束以来又一个重要的历史时刻。摆在我们面前的现实是：新冠肺炎疫情仍在全球肆虐，人类社会正经历着影响深远的公共卫生危机；单边霸凌大行其道，国际秩序正面临前所未有的巨大冲击挑战；保护主义逆流涌动，全球经济正濒临大萧条以来最为严重的滑坡衰退。特别是在后疫情时代，我们的世界究竟向何处去？在这个问题上，各国都不能掉以轻心，更要防止作出错误的抉择。
This forum is both important and timely. As we speak, our world is at another historic moment since World War II. The reality is: the coronavirus keeps raging on, putting humanity through a public health crisis with far-reaching implications; unilateral and bullying practices are rampant, presenting unprecedented challenges to the international order; and protectionism is on the rise, with the world economy on the cusp of the worst recession since the Great Depression. In particular, where is our world headed in the post-COVID era? No country should take this question lightly, and more important, everyone should avoid making the wrong choice.
接下来，就是保姆级干货啦。我会从措词和短语使用，及句式处理几个方面来进行详细讲解。
处于重要的历史时刻：at a historic moment,historic表示：历史性的，有历史意义的。同义表达还有：at a critical juncture in history。
摆在我们眼前的现实是：“摆在我们眼前”可以处理成后置定语，the reality facing/confronting us,文中采用省译的方法，即删去不符合目标语思维习惯、语言习惯和表达方式的词，以避免译文累赘。
新冠肺炎疫情：2020年对我们影响最大的话题，一定要学会表达。the coronavirus pandemic, the coronavirus epidemic, the Covid-19 pandemic.
仍在肆虐：keep raging on, rage means (a disease or fire) spreading rapidly or uncontrollably.也可以酌情处理为类似表达：be still wreaking havoc, be causing continual/continuous destruction.
新冠肺炎疫情仍在全球肆虐，人类社会正经历着影响深远的公共卫生危机:这句话用到的翻译方法有：
合译：两句简单句处理为：一主句＋非谓语动词做结果状语。put是一个非常灵活的小词，在这句话中意为cause... to be/do，使处于...状态，
举个🌰
丢掉工作让他心情糟糕。Loss of job put him in a bad mood.你把我弄得很狼狈！
You've put me in an awkward position.
类似的小词还有send(使进入某状态),plunge(使陷入).
价格下跌造成了市场恐慌。
Falling prices sent the market into a panic.
整座城市陷入黑暗.The whole city was plunged into darkness.
深远影响：提到影响，
不要只会influence和effect，impact/implication也要积累。其中，只有implication是可数的。
单边霸凌大行其道，国际秩序正面临前所未有的巨大冲击挑战：同样采用了合译法;
大行其道译为rampant;"国际秩序面临挑战"一句，把主语处理为宾语，即......对国际秩序造成挑战，短语为present challenges to...类似表达还有：pose threats to...对......构成威胁。
