2.Edge接受采访时澄清他的WWE合同要到9月底才到期，但和Sheamus的比赛是合同内的最后一场比赛。

更新，Fightful Select报道WWE信源指出因为伤病Edge的合同延长了，但接近Edge的信源则无法确认此事。

然而，AEW中很多人认为Edge的加入是有现实可能性的。他可能会使用真实姓名Adam Copeland，因为WWE拥有Edge的权利。据指出接近Edge的人在今年早些死后曾表示他参加AEW的想法并不是像你们想象的那样“肯定不发生”。Edge和Christian Cage以及AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR——帮助他进行回归擂台准备——很亲近。

除此之外，Ringside News报道WWE创作团队一位长期成员表示，关于Edge的新合同“双方没有在条款达成一致”。另外据说WWE内部现在猜测Edge“最终会去AEW”。

PWInsider报道SmackDown中的说法是Edge实际的WWE合同到10月到期（或者至少如上文说的9月底），这是基于Edge在Toronto当地媒体以及在后台的言论。9月或10月的时间显然意味着Edge无法作为意外人物出现在AEW All In中。
