NEWS1:

Officials in the US state of Georgia say they're investigating threats against jurors who voted to indict(控告、起诉) former President Donald Trump of conspiring to overturn his loss in the 2020 election.  Ray Davis reports from Washington. Earlier this week, there were unconfirmed reports that supporters of Donald Trump had circulated(流传;传播;散布) the personal details of Georgia grand jury members who had voted to bring charges of racketeering and election Meddling against the former president and18 co-defendant(被告). Donald Trump has accused that Georgia prosecutor leading the case against him of pursuing A politically motivated witch hunt. Witness intimidation and jury intimidation are serious offenses in the US legal system. In another development, a Texas woman has been charged with making threats to kill a judge overseeing another election conspiracy case against Mr. Trump.


NEWS2:

A Brazilian hacker has told her congressional inquiry(调查) he was hired by President Jair Bolsonaro to try to prove that electronic ballots(不记名票;选举) were vulnerable(脆弱的,易受...的) to fraud ahead of last year's elections. Mr Bolsonaro lost the vote to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva by a narrow margin(以微弱劣势).Leonardo Rocha has more. The computer expert Valta Delgaty said he was approached by a high profile congresswoman(高调的国会女议员) close to Mr. Bolsonaro, Galas and Bailey, who introduced him to the President and a senior official. He told the inquiry that she paid him $8000 and offered him a job in the electoral campaign. The aim was to prove Mr Bolsonaro suspicions that hackers could interfere in Brazil's voting system to rig the election. Mr. Bugatti said he wasn't able to tamper with(篡改)the ballot. Mr. Bailey has rejected(驳回) the accusations(指控). The committee is investigating allegations that Mister Bolsonaro is behind the storming of government buildings by his supporters in Brasilia in general.


NEWS3:

France is sending an elite police unit(精英警务单位) into the city of Marseille(马赛) in an effort to clamp down on(严厉打击) drug related violence. Eight people would have been shot dead since in August alone as rival gangs attempt to seize control of the trade in cannabis(自己查) and cocaine(自己查). Paul Moss reports. According to French police, it's mostly low level street dealers(街头小贩) who were caught up in the recent drug related violence, and many of them are teenagers. But the weapons are sophisticated with Kalashnikov rifles(AK?)used in some killings. Now the governments responded by sending the CRS-8 Unit(法国共和国保安队CRS-8支队是由60名警察组成的精英队伍,专门打击城市暴力活动) into Marseille, which specializes in tackling urban violence.  The French interior minister(法国内政部长)Gerald Darmanin, said it would carry out targeted operations particularly in sports, well known for drug dealing. 


NEWS4:

 An alliance of seven political parties in South Africa has signed a pact in a bid to unseat the governing African National Congress in the 2024 election. the multi party charter. First South Africa said if they came to power they would work together and allocate ministerial positions and parliamentary seats.
