This work presents multi-stimuli-responsive structural color switching surfaces utilizing a micropatterned DNA‒hydrogel assembly. Each hydrogel contains a unique type of DNA motif that can associate/dissociate in response to external stimuli. Via modulating stimuli cues, region-selective switching ON/OFF of the structural colors on a single surface is realized along with cyclability.

Here, helical heterostructures of GeSe and GeS crystals with an interlayer twist are successfully fabricated by vapor‒liquid‒solid and edge epitaxy methods. Our study thus paves new avenues for exploring strongly correlated, topological, and chirality-specific phenomena in 3D twistronics.
