The Silent King was the historic ruler of the Necrontyr.

The Silent King was the most preeminent Triarch and by tradition never spoke, instead issuing edicts to the two other Phaerons on the council. The King and his two other Triarch's issued edicts which bounded the various Dynasties of the Necrontyr race. The ruler’s command was law, against which disobedience meant death. Meanwhile, a Royal Court of lesser nobles and advisors, astrologers and physicians surrounded the Triarch. All three ruling positions were nominally hereditary – though the uncertain life spans of the Necrontyr ensured that the title of Silent King had passed from one dynasty to another many times.

寂静王是三圣议会中最为卓越的一位，传统上他从不发言，而是向议会中另外两位圣法王发布法令。寂静王和另外两位圣法王制定将各个俱亡者王朝联系起来的法令，寂静王的话语即是法律，不遵者唯死可矣。同时，一个由低级贵族、顾问、占星家和医生组成的尊者法庭围绕着三圣议会。三圣席位名义上都是世袭的，不过俱亡者那不确定的人生长度确保寂静王的头衔从一个王朝传到另一个王朝。
