Question1:

Either you are in each other's confidence, and you have secret affairs to discuss, or you are ______ that your figures appear to the greatest advantage by walking.

A.subconscious

B.conscious

Question2:

Mr. Darcy did not consider his confidence as a fault in himself.

A.True.

B.False.

听力原文中提到:“Maybe it's that I find it hard to forgive the follies and vices of others, or their offences against me. My good opinion once lost is lost forever.”,由此可知,Darcy先生认为自己的自信是因为相信自己的观点有价值,而他无法原谅别人对此的冒犯,所以他并不认为自己的自信是缺点,而是为了好的观点而存在的必要条件。

Either you are in each other's confidence and you have secret affairs to discuss, or you are conscious that your figures appear to the greatest advantage by walking. If the first, I should get in your way. If the second, I can admire you much better from here.

Shocking! How should we punish him for such a speech?

You could always laugh at him.

Oh, no, Mr Darcy is not to be teased.

You're too proud, Mr Darcy.

And would you consider pride a fault.Or a virtue?

01:41

That I couldn't say. Because we're doing our best to find fault in you. Maybe it's that I find it hard to forgive the follies and vices of others, or their offences against me. My good opinion, once lost, is lost forever. Oh, dear. I cannot tease you about that.

01:58

Mr bingley, I don't know how to thank you. You're welcome anytime you feel the least bit poorly.

02:03

Thank you for your stimulating company. It has been most instructive.

Not at all, pleasures is all mine.

Mr Darcy. Mr Elisabeth.
