阴云下难得的一丝轻松——音乐剧《悲惨世界》曲目《Master of the House》中文填词
大家好！我又有新的填词啦！这次的填词，我选择了音乐剧《悲惨世界》的经典曲目《Master of the House》，也是剧中角色德纳第夫妇的代表曲目之一。
在这里就《悲惨世界》原著、音乐剧的编排和角色本身说上几句：《悲惨世界》历来被认为是浪漫主义与现实主义相结合的经典著作，被誉为“人类苦难的百科全书”，而由其为蓝本改编的音乐剧《悲惨世界》同样继承了原著中沉郁的底色，全剧都被时代的紧张感笼罩。因此，与其他音乐剧相比，这部音乐剧中的大多数曲目都显得较为严肃，带有一种悲剧色彩，清新明快的曲目较少，《Master of the House》便是一首难得的洋溢着喜剧色彩的曲目，令人耳目一新。也正因如此，每当我重温大悲音乐剧时，它都是我必听的曲目之一。
然而，当这喜剧的主角是两个最大的反派人物时，喜剧本身也就带上了一股悲剧色彩：德纳第夫妇是19世纪上半叶法国市侩的典型代表，贪财、自私自利、唯利是图是他们的人生信条。在原著中，许多苦难都由他们引发：小珂赛特饱受虐待（在音乐剧中，这首曲子的前一首就是描写小珂赛特悲惨生活的《Castle on a Cloud》）；芳汀被蒙骗得出卖了秀发、门牙和肉体，最终失去了生命；德纳第后来的强盗同伙“铁牙”伪装成革命者，在街垒里枪杀无辜的老人……可以说，德纳第夫妇是当时法国社会恶人群体的一个缩影。而也就是这样的角色，成为了喜剧桥段的叙述者，其他正面角色（冉阿让、ABC、爱潘妮等）却承担了悲剧性的桥段，这时，19世纪上半叶法国社会的不合理性也就显露出来：贫苦的人们唱着《At the End of the Day》，诉说自己的愤懑与无奈；怀揣光明理想和爱国热情的ABC“为了新世界如太阳升起”，把热血洒在祖国的土地上。而德纳第夫妇这样的始作俑者却在临近结尾时得意洋洋地唱道：
“Clear away the barricades and we're still there!”
这无疑是对那个时代最大的讽刺。而且，即使抛开音乐剧对原著的改编不谈，在原著中，德纳第太太虽然死在监狱里，但德纳第和他的二女儿阿兹玛最后到了美洲，成为了双手沾满鲜血的黑奴贩子（考虑到19世纪的美洲有着相当大的发展空间，他们最终在新大陆发家致富的几率很高），这何尝不是更大的讽刺呢？在我看来，《悲惨世界》的悲惨，不仅体现在冉阿让的十九年铁窗岁月里，也不仅体现在芳汀、马白夫、伽弗洛什等人物的悲剧性结局中，还体现在，即使在法兰西的土地上，为着追求平等与博爱的革命已经进行了一次又一次，这片土地却少有改变，男子、女子和儿童依然笼罩在潦倒、堕落、羸弱的阴影下。这也许才是最大的悲剧吧。当然，雨果先生和音乐剧的监制仍然保有浪漫主义的情怀：原著中，ABC虽然失败了，但毕竟为他们的国家带来了希望，马吕斯和珂赛特也接过了冉阿让手中的烛台，成为了改变这片土地的新一代力量；音乐剧的终曲，所有为街垒献身的革命战士的灵魂在天堂里唱响了自由的歌曲，让人们期待着“明日曙光”。这也就是希望之所在吧。
