C. trachomatis infection among neonates is most frequently recognized by conjunctivitis that develops 5–12 days after birth. A chlamydial etiology should be considered for all infants aged 30 days or less who experience conjunctivitis。 

新生儿出生后5-12天内结膜炎最常见明确原因为沙眼衣原体。30天以内患有结膜炎婴儿应该考虑衣原体感染。
