一、世界与自然（The World and Nature）

要素——天气（The Elements—Weather）

自创世之始——since the creation—ἀφ’ οὗ γεγόνασιν ἅνθρωποι.

世界——the world—ἡ οἰκουμένη；参见τὰ πάντα, τὸ πᾶν.

是世界史上最有名的人——to be the most famous man in the world—μέγιστον ὄνομα ἔχειν ἐν πᾶσιν ἀνθρώποις.

对趾点——the antipodes—τἀπεκεῖνα τῆς γῆς.

大地的终结之处——the end of the world—τὰ ἔσχατα τῆς γῆς.
