万事俱备印度阿三新冠疫苗接种元月16日开打
昨天，一个印度国有企业（a public sector undertaking），单位名称叫The HLL Lifecare Limited，它代表印度联邦政府卫生部，向印度血清研究所私人控股有限公司（Serum Institute of India Pvt Limited）下达了订购1100万剂（1.1 crore doses）牛津大学新冠疫苗Covishield（Oxford COVID-19 vaccine, Covishield）的订单。 合同规定，每剂疫苗定价200卢比，再加上10卢比的税（with GST of Rs 10），每剂采购总成本为210卢比，总价款23亿1千万卢比（Rs 231 crore）。合同还规定，印度政府承诺以同等价格再采购4千500万剂（4.5 crore doses），总价款将达到117亿6千万卢比（ Rs 1,176 crore）。疫苗从1月11日起开始发货。
同日，印度政府还向另一家印度疫苗企业——巴拉特生物技术公司Bharat Biotech（Bharat是印度的别称）发出了采购550万剂（55 lakh doses）Covaxin疫苗的订单，总价款16亿2千万卢比（Rs 162 crore），单价每剂约295卢比。
The country will launch its COVID-19 vaccination drive from January 16 in what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the world's largest inoculation programme with priority to be given to nearly three crore healthcare and frontline workers.
According to the COVID-19 Vaccine Operational Guidelines, the shots will be offered first to an estimated one crore healthcare workers, and around two crore frontline workers, and then to persons above 50 years of age, followed by persons younger than 50 years of age with associated comorbidities based on evolving pandemic situation.

每辆冷藏车装载478个药箱，每箱重32千克。牛津大学疫苗每剂用量0.5毫升。每箱1200瓶，每瓶5毫升。
冷藏车出厂前，工作人员专门为疫苗举办了拜神仪式。（A 'puja' was performed before the vehicles left the facility.）

他还说，头批一亿剂只供应印度政府的疫苗每剂定价200卢比，如果政府批准我们向私立医院供货，将来的定价是1000卢比/剂。公司新冠疫苗现有库存5000万剂，预计产能可以达到7-8千万剂/月。等产能上去了，就可以出口发大财了。
另一家疫苗厂家Bharat Biotech 生产的Covaxin是一种灭活疫苗，所以成本会高一点，但安全性更好。预计今晚从海德拉巴的拉吉夫甘地国际机场（ the Rajv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad）出货。
