第一章 迷失黑暗 "Where are you? Wilmarth, I can't find you." （“你在哪儿？威尔玛斯，我找不到你。”）威克今天快把威尔玛斯的手机打爆了，"Er... The cafe at the front of Black Cross Street. Wait a minute. I'll send you an address." （“呃……‘黑十字’街最前面的那个咖啡馆，你稍等一会，我给你发个地址。”）威尔玛斯的口吻一直是那么的有耐心和礼貌，"Oh... Black Cross Street? I was right there. Did you tweet it? Let me see... Oh, no, I see you!"（ “哦……黑十字街吗？我就在那儿，你是发在推特上了吗？我看看……哦，不用了，我看到你了！”）威克朝着坐在咖啡馆里的威尔玛斯招了招手，威尔玛斯似乎也看到了他，"Oh! I see you, too, in black and beige today?" （“哦！我也看到你了，你今天穿了一身黑色和米黄色？”）"Oh, yes, that's me. I don't know if it's what you want." （“哦，威尔玛斯，你要的东西我给你带来了，不知道它是不是你想要的。”）威克走到那张长方形桌子前，把一个手提箱放到了威尔玛斯面前，“Oh, thank you so much”（哦，真是谢谢了）威尔玛斯向威克表示的谢意，然后打开那个手提箱，"Old pictures of our studio, right? They are very old, the one you are collecting information on, let me look for a long time, alas! I miss those days!" （“我们工作室以前的照片，对吗？他们很老了，那一张你在收集资料的那张，让我找了很长的时间，唉！真怀念啊那时候啊！”）威克发出了感慨，但是他话锋一转，问威尔玛斯"But what do you want them for? Don't you have those pictures at home, too? People at other studios have them, too, so why do you want me to store them? They're almost all records of what's in the studio." （“不过你要它们干什么？你家里不是也有那些照片吗？别的工作室里的人也有啊，为什么你偏偏想要我存的这些呢？它们几乎全是记录工作室里的东西的。”）威尔玛斯边找他想要的东西边解答了威克心中的疑问："Er... Wick, for the record, everything I say is true." （“额……威克，首先声明，我说的全是真的，”）威克稍微一点头，表示相信，"Er... Wick, as you know, our studio was forced to disband because of financial problems and... Something strange." （“额……威克，你是知道的，我们的工作室是被迫解散的，一是因为资金问题，二是……一些奇怪的事情”）威尔玛斯似乎找到自己要找到东西了，他把照片递给威克："I don't know if you remember, but here, there used to be a door, and it was sealed." （“不知道你还记不记得，这里，以前有一个门，它封死了”） "Yes, I remember. By the way, did you know about it?" （“额……对了，你知道这个事吗？”）威尔玛斯拿出一张报纸，翻到了最前面。 威克眯起了眼仔细的看着那张报纸，那张白的刺眼的报纸上，散发着油墨的味道，不用说，一看就知道是崭新的。那张报纸的第一页上，只有一个新闻，但是，威克看到它时，和其它看这份报纸的人的反应一样，都是吃了一惊，上面写着："Sacral, the most famous star with a net worth of trillions and a following of billion, went missing on October 7, 2186, and police around the world are trying to find him." （“万亿身价、圈粉30亿的究极明星——骶，在2186年10月7日失踪，目前全世界警方正在努力搜寻”） "Er... What's going on? How..." （“额……什么情况？怎么……”）威克很是吃惊。他不明白，这个恶魔一般的“人”、东方地府的最强战力，是什么原因，在几亿人的关注之下悄无声息的失踪了，连一点线索也没有留下。威克想到了那种情况，让他不寒而栗——这是人为，如果这是人为的话，那是一个什么样的存在啊！不过这样就解释的通了，工作室的附近有人失踪就可能是那个玩意所为。 他向威尔玛斯说明了他的猜想，威尔玛斯想了想，之后点头表示支持："Objectively, that's a strong explanation, but... Something that can kidnap sacral, shouldn't it just go after someone? Don't you... Can't it take in the outside air?" （“从客观来说，这种解释很是有力，但是……能把骶给绑架的东西，它不应该直接出来抓人吗？难道……它无法接受外界的空气吗？”）威克也皱起眉头，摸着下巴上的那一小撮胡子思索着："Hiss... So what is it? Why did it make the others disappear, and why did he kidnap Sacral?" （“嘶……那么它到底是什么？它为什么会使其他人失踪，还有他为什么要绑架骶呢？”）"Who knows? Why don't we go and see for ourselves?" （“谁知道呢？我们自己前去看一看不就知道了吗？”） 威克的双眼中处处透露着期待，他是个探险爱好者，这些发生过很多灵异事件的地方是他的最爱，"Just the two of us? You don't need anyone, do you? Although I don't really want anyone else to follow." （“就我们两个去吗？不需要带什么人吧？虽然我不是很想有其他人跟随”）威尔玛斯显然知道威克不喜欢很多人跟着，但他处于安全问题，还是安排了几名特遣队员："Er... I know you don't like noise, Wick, but what we're exploring here is too dangerous. We'd better take care of it." （“额……威克，我知道你不喜欢吵闹的环境，但是这次所要探索的东西太过危险，还是做好保障较好”）威克虽然不喜欢有人跟着，但是他也不想自己死在里面，他只得妥协。"All right" （“好吧”）他点头同意，"That's great, so let's go now. It's not too far from here. I've got my car ready." （“那太好了，那么我们现在就出发吧，那里离这里不算太远，我已经准备好了车”）威尔玛斯指了指咖啡馆前停的那辆黑色越野，对着威克说，"Oh, that's really troubling you." （“哦，那真是麻烦你了”） "It's okay.
