常桂枝，字静远，号长乐斋主，河北盐山人。1994 年部队转业，期间曾荣立二等战功一次，三等功六次。中国书法家协会会员，国家高级书法、美术师，国家民族画院特聘书画家，中国非物质文化保护人;中国当代名人书画院常务副院长，人民艺术家书画院副院长，北京华夏兰亭书画院院士，中国国际艺术家协会终身艺术顾问，广州市书法协会常务副会长，山东济南电视台艺术栏目客座教授，中国孔孟美术(文化)研究院客座教授，中国书画家联谊会工作委员会委员，中国企业文化促进会企业艺术家工作委员会委员。
被授予“中国当代书画名家”中国最具收藏价值书画名家，“国礼艺术大师”、“中国国宾礼艺术家”、“全国百位优秀人民书画家”、“中国两会推荐当代艺术领军人物“、“中国新长城优秀艺术家”、“广东文化艺术功勋人物”“广州市职工艺术家”、“中国企业最受关注的百强书画名家”“德艺双馨艺术名家”等称号。
从小喜爱书画，研习行、草、隶、篆、魏，国画善山水。行草研讨二王、孙过庭、米傅;隶书张迁碑;篆书师承著名书法家、文字学家陈初生教授，并得到了书画大师沈鹏、何家英、张海、苏仕澍等名家的指点，其书画作品多次参加国内外展览并获奖。被选编入《百年中国书画史》;作为《特邀最受欢迎的双十大人民书法家献礼全国两会》、作为《特邀当代百位书画名家献礼抗战胜利70周年作品展》、《建军90周年特刊庆典》、《庆祝中国党产党100周年书画展》。作为中国新长城艺术家入选举世闻名的“八大岭新长城”，其艺术精品《江山如画》已制作(80X60厘米)规格镌刻在新长城上;中国邮政作为“中国名片”出版了《中国当代书画名家常桂枝》限量版珍藏邮册一套;出版有沈鹏、何家英、常桂枝《中国书画名家三人集》、与原任中国书协主席苏士澍出版有中国最具影响力的艺术名家——苏士澍、常桂枝书法作品集《墨海同舟》、人民艺术家出版有《艺术名家常桂枝》、《常桂枝书画集》等。 书画作品先后被人民大会堂、军事博物馆、中央党校、国家檔案馆、国内政界权威机构，美术馆，艺术馆，全国各大企业收藏，深受国内外收藏人士与国际友好人士亲眯，一直致力于社会公益慈善活动等公益性事业。
Chang Guizhi, with the word Jingyuan, is the Lord of Changle Zhai, from Yanshan, Hebei Province. He was fond of calligraphy and painting since childhood, and studied xingcao, Cao, Li, Zhuan and Wei. He was good at landscape painting. He studied Erwang, sun Guoting and Mi Fu, Lishu and Zhang Qianbei. The seal script was taught by Professor Chen Chusheng, a famous calligrapher and philologist, and was instructed by masters of calligraphy and painting, such as Shen Peng, he Jiaying, Zhang Hai and Su Shishu. His calligraphy and painting works have participated in exhibitions at home and abroad for many times and won awards.
