Other gods can kill a god (see Death). And when killed, the god will produce 3 Beyonder characteristics + 1 partial wisp. That partial wisp is how it's possible for the Dark Emperor to 'return' from the dead as described in this chapter. Similarly, it's possible the other 3 Sequence 1 Beyonders can do the required ritual to become a God, thus forever killing the old god.

I got a strong sense of deja vue from the part with Klein turning back and then getting invited by the lawyer. And why didn't Klein remember that question with the key? Something seems fishy... And that cat is definitely evil in some way.
These quiet chapters make me feel itchy for some reason. Just like when you're expecting a jump scare and it isn't coming. It's just a matter of time until something unexpected explodes into Klein's face. However, the difficult part is the waiting.
