Houseflies lay egg (How Houseflies Work ), but as Josef Mihalovič has pointed out as a response to my now edited comment, this isn’t a regular house fly, and it seems to be a flesh fly as Josef said. You can tell first of all from the red eyes. Apparently, they give birth to larvae: Flesh Fly
Moral of the story: Completely crush any fly you kill so that its descendants don’t come back to haunt you (crush in tissue or other paper, for instance). Sounds like joke, but isn’t.
