And the American-Chinese actors and actresses in the Hollywood movies are not “representative” at all from our point of view (some even think that they look strange). If you don’t believe me just check the photo of actual Chinese actors like Chen Kun, Wu Xiubo, Chen Daoming, or for the younger generation, Huang Jingyu, Li Xian, Bai Yu, Xiao Zhan, etc. The face of Jiang Ziya for me is a combinaison of Chen Kun and Chen Daoming.

@yamKenny most things in asia originated from china (or if you want to be weird about it, maybe korea as the korean area used to be part of china way back when. The people got influenced and developed the same concepts into their own unique cultures.
edit: this is why many aspects of east-ish asian cultures have so many shared/similar cultures or parts of culture. I.e the Gayagum(maybe spelled wrong) and Koto from Korea and Japan respectively were adapted from the Chinese Guzheng.

@yamKenny Nine talls fox were come from a pre-Qin Chinese classic text and a compilation of mythic geography called "Classic of Mountains and Seas" or "Shan Hai Jing". This text is too old so noone knows when did this text appear. Maybe Zhou dynasty or even older. Way before other asian countries appeard.

The Korean nine-tailed fox is called Gumiho, which is literally a Chinese name 九尾狐. Japanese call it Kyuubiko, which is also a Chinese name 九尾狐. It''s not that hard to figure out where the myth comes from.
