Inference for Slope (斜率的置信区间和假设检验)

以另一种方式试图更新完整。可是又要换二维码了，略绝望。

接下去讲 AP Statistics Unit 9 的内容。请同学至少先学会一种其他 test 或者 confidence interval 之后，再来学跑步。

        a) 方法名称：注意 inference for slope 用的是 t-distribution, df =-2. Degree of freedom 用 n-2, 因为大部分 linear regression 里有两个 parameters -intercept  and slope . 所以说明方法的时候，文字或公式都可以：-interval for the slope (用公式就是 ±*(), -test for a slope.

      b) 如果是 test, 要写 H0 and H (null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis). 再次说一下， test 的是 population parameter. 不能用 sample slope b 如何。

      c) Conditions: 如果 FRQ 要你完整构建 confidence interval 或完整 test slope, 并且没有说 assume all conditions are met, 老样子，conditions 是要背下来写下来的。统计 FRQ 仿佛不小的小作文嘛。Conditions CB 官方的 course and exam descriptions (https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/pdf/ap-statistics-course-and-exam-description.pdf?course=ap-statistics) 写得挺好的，很多条件其他 tests 我们也讲过了，直接理解一下背吧（或者你们的计算器有文档拷贝功能啥的）。

        要是你们没有学过其他的 confidence intervals or tests, 别来说看不懂。这次的目标读者知道我预告过要写这篇文章。

        d) 计算。徒手算的题，这步跟其他 confidence interval 看起来略有点不像（最后给你们看例题）。slope 跟 mean or proportion 不一样的地方在于，题目里大多直接给 standard error (!!! 看例题。其他 interval, test 学得好的话，regression slope 主要就是“背”一下 conditions + 看这个细节）. 要会按计算器，但 slope 直接给原始 x, y 数据让去按的，按计算器太复杂，不常见。更多的是给了计算器输出的一些结果。

i.  Confidence interval 的话，需要算 t* (inverse t distribution, df = n -2), 算 margin of error, 得出 confidence interval.

ii. Test 的话，如果用 rejection region, 算出 t, 算出 rejection region；如果用 p-value, 算出 t, 算出 p-value.

假设你们也知道了如果先问 confidence interval, 再问有没有 evidence, 可以用 confidence interval  的结果，直接得出 two-tailed test 的结果。
