Compound conjunctions in writing.写作中的复合连词。

1. as well as 代替 and: 并列；和

例句1: The manager, as well as his wife ,attended the party. 经理和他的妻子都参加了聚会。

例句2: English is spoken in America as well as Canada. 美国人和加拿大人都说英语。

2. As soon as 代替 once/the minute/the second: 一...就...

例句1: The passengers got off the plane as soon as it landed. 飞机一着陆，乘客们就下了飞机。

例句2: We started talking as soon as the teacher left the classroom.老师一离开教室，我们就开始谈话。

3. As if 或 as though 代替 like: 好像...一样

例句1: She began to laugh as if she was crazy. 她开始大笑，好像疯了似的。

例句2: He talks as if he knows everything. 他说话的样子好像什么都知道。

4. Even if 代替 although: 尽管；即使

例句: I can not tell you even if you are my best friend.我不能告诉你，即使你是我最好的朋友。

5. Provided that 代替 if: 假如；如果

例句1: I shall lend you money provided that you return it next month. 如果你下个月就能还我，我就借钱给你。

例句2:  All of you can sit down provided that you do not disturb others. 如果不打扰到别人，你们都可以坐下。
