中国人一直非常注重吃。众所周知的俗语“民以食为天”,吃饭是最大的民生。可口和营养的食物一直被当作日常生活的基本要素。中国烹饪文化源远流长,起源于商周,距今大约3500年。在漫长的发展过程中,中国菜肴逐渐分为了南北两大口味以适应不同的饮食习惯。

       虽然目前我国的温饱问题已经得到普遍解决,但一些餐馆和学校餐厅食物浪费现象十分严重。勤俭节约是中国的传统美德。厉行节约,反对浪费不是某一个人的事,也不是某个群体的事,我们每一个人都有节约的义务和责任。因此,直到今天,我们的美德一直受到外国人的称赞。

    Chinese people have been paying attention to dining very much. As a well-known saying goes, “Food is the first necessity of people”, eating is the biggest livelihood of Chinese people. Delicious and nutritious food has always been regarded as the basic element of everyday life. Chinese cuisine culture, which originated from Shang and Zhou dynasties, has a long history of about 3500. In the long process of development, Chinese dishes gradually are divided into southern and northern tastes in order to adapt to different eating habits.

    Although problems of food and cloth have been generally solved, there exists serious food waste in some restaurants and school canteen. Frugality and Thrift is the traditional virtue of Chinese people. To practice thrift and to combat waste is not a person’s business, nor is it a group’s business, each of us have the obligation and responsibility to save. Thus, to this day, our virtues have been praised by foreigners.
