We writers are all egocentric,self-referential,

自恋而又自负

narcissistic and vain.

我认为这是写作不可缺少的工具

I believe that is a fundamental tool for writing.

纸 笔和虚荣心

Pen,paper and vanity.

没有这些  你什么都写不出来

Without that,you cannot write anything.

现实根本不存在

Reality doesn't exist.

没有事实 只有解读

There are no facts,there are interpretations.

事实或者我们称之为事实的东西

The truth,or what we call the truth,

只是多数人认可的一种解读而已

is an interpretation which prevails over another one.
