在祖鲁兰的 Emdoneni Safari Park袭击了中国澳门赴南非的交换生 Peggy Lio （廖）后的第二天，新西兰基督城（克赖斯特彻奇）的青少年 Isaac Driver 又遭同一只猎豹袭击悲惨受伤，这只猎豹本周频繁犯事袭击游客，为世界各地前来非洲猎豹观光的游客带来了巨大的安全挑战！

这起事件被摄像机拍到，当时猎豹跳起来将她推倒在地时，Lio （廖）恐惧地缩成一团，一名工作人员用棍子将猎豹击倒。

“突然，其中一只猎豹靠近我，跳到我身上，把我拉到地上，试图咬我，”女孩告诉旅行者。

女孩说，虽然她的伤势并不严重，但她的全身都留下了猎豹带来的丑陋吓人的恐怖划痕。

她还表示，她 “严重关切 并质疑安全问题” 将来的游客会再次面对这种危险情况。

“我的丈夫似乎不知从哪儿冒出来的——他只知道抓住猎豹，把它从孩子身上拉下来，然后把它扯到地上。”

Driver女士说，虽然她不一定希望猎豹被关闭在游览区外，但她担心其他参观游览公园的孩子也会发生这样的安全问题。

南非旅游业有反宠政策，然而这在南非实际上仍然是合法的行为。

SAT 首席执行官 Sisa Ntshona 表示，该组织完全了解全球反拍游说，并继续“毫无保留地支持它”。

然而，他说，该组织无权在法律范围之外对旅游企业发号施令。

Cheetah attacked tourist day before mauling New Zealand teen Isaac Driver

Chinese exchange student Peggy Lio has come forward this week to raise safety concerns for tourists’ after she realised the same cheetah that attacked Christchurch teen Isaac Driver had pounced on her the day before at Emdoneni Safari Park in Zululand.

The incident, which was caught on camera, shows Lio cowering as the cheetah jumps up and pushes her to the ground, forcing a staff member to beat it off with a stick.

"Suddenly, one of the cheetah approached me, jumped on me and pulled me down on the ground, attempting to bite me," Lio told Traveller 24.

Lio said although her injuries were not serious, she was left with scratches all over her body.

She also said she was "very concerned" it would happen again in the future.

The day after Lio was attacked, a similar situation occurred at the park with the same cheetah, named Dew.

Dave Driver was forced to wrestle with the cheetah, when it mauled his teenage son Isaac, who suffered injuries to his back and shoulder when the cheetah pounced on him.

Mr Driver pulled the animal off his young son after it pushed Isaac to the ground with “full force”, Isaac’s mum Mandy told Radio New Zealand.

The family of four were part of a group of 20 who were allowed to pat two cheetahs on a supervised tour during a family holiday to South Africa.

But as the tour group went to leave the enclosure, Dew, who seemed “restless”, pushed through the group and ripped the T-shirt of Isaac’s sister before pushing him to the ground, Ms Driver said.

"[The cheetah] landed him on the ground as though it was eating him. It was horrible, it was really scary.

"My husband just seemed to appear from nowhere - he just grabbed the cheetah, pulled it off him, and just held it to the ground."

Ms Driver said while she didn’t necessarily want it to be shut down, she was concerned about the safety of other children visiting the park.

South African Tourism has an anti-petting policy, however it remains legal in South Africa.

SAT chief executive Sisa Ntshona said the organisation was fully aware of the global anti-patting lobby and continued to "back it unreservedly".

However, the organisation did not have the authority to dictate tourism enterprises outside the confines of the law, he said.

"The best we can do is educate, inform and guide these businesses, and constantly liaise with government, the trade and conservation bodies on the best way forward," he said.

Cheetah attacks NZ boy in South Africa

A Christchurch father took on a cheetah as it mauled his teenage son during a holiday in South Africa.

Isaac Driver, 14, and his family were touring the Emdoneni Safari Park in Zululand on Wednesday morning (local time).

The group of about 20 people were allowed to pat two cheetahs, supervised by tour guides.

As the group left the enclosure, Mandy Driver said one of the cheetahs - which seemed restless - walked through the group before pushing her son to the ground with "full force".

"[It] pushed through a few different people, caught my daughter's top, ripped all her top, and then landed on my son as he was facing it ... and pushed him to the ground," she said.

"[The cheetah] landed him on the ground as though it was eating him. It was horrible, it was really scary,"

"My husband just seemed to appear from nowhere - he just grabbed the cheetah, pulled it off him, and just held it to the ground."

Mrs Driver said Isaac was OK, although he had injuries to his back and shoulder.

"I think he just wants to go home, really. He's doing OK - he's not complaining about it. He bought himself a cheetah T-shirt. He's coped with it amazingly well considering he was attacked by a big cat."

She said the safari park refunded the price of their tour.

"I wouldn't like to see it get shut down, if it's doing good things for the animals, but I also wouldn't like to see anybody else get hurt."

"And on the photos [which the park uses on its website] there are a lot of young children in these cages with these wild cats."

The Emdoneni website promised all visitors could get close to the hand-reared cheetahs, but interaction depended on the cats' moods.

"Bear in mind these animals are still wild animals with a mind of [their] own," it says.

The Drivers will return home on Wednesday.
