战争与和平——阿甘正传中的越战元素？
The Vietnam War was a war between South Vietnam (Republic of Vietnam), which was supported by capitalist countries including the United States, and North Vietnam (Democratic Republic of Vietnam), which was supported by socialist countries including the Soviet Union, and the South Vietnam National Liberation Front. It took place in Vietnam (the main battlefield), Laos and Cambodia during the Cold War. Interestingly, in the movie Forrest Gump was deployed to Vietnam in 1967 with his 47th Infantry Regiment of the 9th Infantry Division. The 47th Infantry is a real U.S. Army regiment that has been involved in numerous conflicts dating back to World War I. Although the 47th is currently responsible for training new recruits, they did deploy to Vietnam from 1966 to 1971. So Forrest Gump may not be real, but his army is.
