污损国徽、喷涂辱华标语！《新闻联播》曝光暴徒乱港画面
7月21日晚，部分激进示威者围堵香港中联办，向该机构办公大楼门口悬挂的国徽投掷黑色油漆弹，在外墙喷涂侮辱性字句，并试图冲进办公大楼，公然挑战国家主权。
Wearing goggles and face masks, the demonstrators besieged the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR with metal barricades, daubed offensive graffiti on the complex's walls and defaced the national emblem mounted at the building's entrance with black liquid.

香港特区行政长官林郑月娥22日强烈谴责冲击香港中联办的暴力行为，并表明特区政府必定严肃跟进，依法追究。
Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor sternly denounced on Monday what she called the unprecedented violence in the city on Sunday, saying violence will never be a solution but will only breed more violence.
她说，部分激进的示威者，恶意包围、冲击中联办大楼，以及污损国徽，公然挑战国家主权，触碰“一国两制”的底线，而且伤害民族感情，让全城愤慨。
Lam said the vandalism is in blatant defiance of the nation's sovereignty and an open challenge to the "one country, two systems" principle. It has caused great harm to the SAR, which is governed under the principle, and it hurt the sentiments of people in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland.
此外，林郑月娥也对元朗发生的暴力行为予以强烈谴责，表明特区政府同样会全力调查跟进，依法追究。她说，香港是一个法治社会，不容许任何暴力行为发生。
Lam also strongly denounced the "astonishing and outrageous" attacks in Yuen Long in the New Territories.
据报道，21日晚10时45分许，港铁与警方接到报案称，有大批身着白衣的人在香港西铁线元朗站用木棍、藤条等袭击市民。
Late on Sunday night, attackers in white shirts, some wearing masks, assaulted bystanders and commuters at the Yuen Long subway station with bamboo sticks and metal poles. They said they were targeting radical protesters who have disrupted local order.

污损国徽，必须绳之以法
据香港《大公报》22日报道，暴徒离去后，香港中联办立即进行清洁工作，并于晚上11时许更换被弄污的国徽，及更换被损毁的大门标牌。
中央政府驻港机构代表国家权威，国徽是国家的庄严象征。香港众多法律界团体和人士表示，冲击中央政府驻港机构、玷污国徽属于严重刑事罪行，必须严格依法追究。
香港与内地法律专业联合会会长陈晓峰代表协会发表声明指出，涂污及侮辱国徽，明显违反了香港《国旗及国徽条例》第7条，是一种非常严重的刑事罪行。他强调，国徽是国家的象征和标志，冲击中央驻港机构，污损玷污国徽，严重违反香港法律，挑战中央权威，必须严格依法追究。
The Hong Kong and Mainland Legal Profession Association said in a statement that painting the national emblem is a clear violation of article 7 of the National Flag and National Emblem Ordinance of HKSAR and should be investigated strictly according to the law.
全国政协委员、律师黄英豪引述条例指出，任何人公开及故意以焚烧、毁损、涂划、玷污、践踏等方式侮辱国徽，即属犯罪，一经定罪，可处第五级罚款及监禁三年，相信执法部门会将违法者绳之以法。
Kennedy Wong Ying-ho, a CPPCC National Committee member and a renowned lawyer, cited the regulations that anyone desecrates the national flag or national emblem by publicly and willfully burning, mutilating, scrawling on, defiling or trampling on it commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine at level 5 and to imprisonment for three years.

Wang Zhimin, director of the Liaison Office, made the "strongest condemnation" of the vandalizing of the office on Sunday night.
王志民表示，一段时间来，香港发生了一些激烈的示威抗争，完全超出了和平示威的范畴，公然挑战香港的法治底线。昨晚部分激进示威者围堵中联办大楼并公然辱国的行径十分恶劣，性质严重，严重损害香港的法治精神、香港市民的根本福祉与利益，严重伤害了包括700万香港同胞在内的全中国人民的感情。坚信特区政府、警方及执法机构一定会依法严惩，追究到底。
Saying that Hong Kong has seen a series of radical protests that exceeded the boundaries of peaceful demonstration, Wang said these acts have challenged the city's rule of law and seriously undermined the fundamental interests of Hong Kong residents.
He said he believed the Hong Kong government and its law-enforcement bodies will punish those responsible according to the law.

The national emblem, as the symbol of the country, should be respected and cherished by all organizations and citizens, said Tung Chee-hwa, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
全国政协副主席董建华发表声明指出，国徽是国家的象征和标志，一切组织和公民，都应当尊重和爱护。
Tung said defacing the national emblem is a blatant challenge to the national sovereignty and the authority of the central government, calling for severe punishment.
故意以涂划或玷污等方式侮辱国徽，是公然挑战国家主权和中央的权威，必须受到严厉的谴责，依法追究责任到底。
▌梁振英：不姑息这些数典忘祖、丧心病狂的暴徒
同一天，全国政协副主席梁振英严厉谴责部分激进示威者公然围堵、冲击中联办大楼，破坏设施，污损国徽的行径，认为他们必将受到法律的严惩、历史的唾弃。
梁振英连续在社交网站发出四篇帖文予以强烈谴责，帖文指出，“这些败类必将受到法律的严惩、历史的唾弃。”
"I ask all of you to condemn it online and offline. We want to let the whole nation know that Hong Kong people do not tolerate these reckless thugs who forget their ancestors."
他呼吁：“国徽蒙污，我请大家在线上线下全力声讨，我们要让全国人民知道：香港人并不姑息这些数典忘祖、丧心病狂的暴徒！”
