随着镜子中Madeline内心的demon跑出来，之前不能通的路，打通了。
Madeline和自己内心的demon正式对决，demon说出来第一句话Madeline, darling, slow down. Madeline，亲爱的，停下来。
但其实Madeline没有看到自己内心的demon。Who said that?谁在说话？
demon：
Oh, I’m simply a concerned observer. 啊，我只是一个感兴趣的观察者。
Madeline:
Are you ... me? 你是...我吗？
demon:
I’m part of you. 我是一部分的你。
我想起了Katy Perry的励志歌曲《Part of Me》。
Madeline:
Why would part of me look so creepy? 为什么我的一部分看起来这么地让我感到毛骨悚然？
demon:

Madeline:

demon:

Hello? 电话中开头的Hello，表示有人在吗？
电话的另一头：
Madeline?是Madeline吗？
... are you calling from a payphone? 你用公用付费电话打的电话？
Madeline:
Yeah. 是的。
No, wait... you called me. 不，等等... 你叫我了。
电话的另一头：
What are you talking about? 你在说什么？
Madeline:
It doesn’t matter. I’m in trouble. 不重要。我遇到麻烦了。
I’m being chased by ... someone. 我被..有些人追赶着。
I don’t really understand what’s going on, but I know I’m in danger. I can feel it. 我不能真正地理解在发生什么，但是我知道我处在危险中。我能感觉到。
电话的另一头：
Madeline, you only call me when you’re panicking in the middle of the night.
Madeline，你只会在半夜你正在惊慌失措时给我打电话。
panick恐慌，惊慌失措。
You don’t have to make up some ridiculous story just to get my attention.

Madeline:

Madeline:

句子中的even很明显是副词，even作副词时，adv. 表示(强调出乎意料)甚至;即使;还;连;(用以加强比较)甚至更;实际上;(引出更精确的说法)甚至可以说。
demon:
I’m wondering the same thing. 我也很奇怪这件事。
It’s time to give up and go home. 是时候放弃回家了。
Madeline躲避demon的追赶，发现了Theo。
Theo:
Hey, Madeline! You made it! 嘿，Madelien！你做到了！
Climbing up here was tough, but totally worth it. 爬上这里很艰难，但完全是值得的。
Just look at these ruins! 看看这些遗迹！

Madeline:

离开Theo后，Madeline继续冒险，她又找到了一个电话亭，打给了妈妈。
妈妈：
Hello? 是谁？
Madeline:
Hey Mom. 嘿，妈妈。
妈妈：
Madeline, what a nice surprise! How is your trip?
Madeline, 大惊喜！你的旅行怎么样了？
Madeline:
It’s okay, I’m just kind of ... overwhelmed. 挺好的，我只是有一些...不知所措。
妈妈：
Oh no, are you having another panic attack? 啊不，你又被恐慌袭击了吗？
Focus on your breathing honey, I’m here. 把注意力放在呼吸上，宝贝，我在这里。
What’s going on? 发生什么了？
Madeline没有回答妈妈的话，Chapter 2到这里就结束了。Madeline第一次打电话的人，应该是她的爸爸，不同于妈妈的关切，她的爸爸，很冷漠。
