While shapeshifting is a pretty generic ability for most Eastern protags, most of the time its use either haphazardly or as one-offs. But with Klein? Throw in all Klein’s artifacts and all pirates not at Demigod tier or Gerhman’s friends should just take a permanent vacation 😂😂😂

That is the thing isn’t it? An enemy of Klein’s strength who constantly wears different faces and is a master of taking on completely different personas is all too difficult to guard against. The only reason Hurricane failed in his assassination attempt earlier on in the story is because a Spectator caught the flaws in his acting which isn’t too surprising as he was borrowing the power through the glove and didn’t have a real Faceless’s acting skills to back up his use of the disguise. Maybe a sufficiently high sequence Spectator might be able to catch some of the more subtle mistakes a Faceless and higher might make but as they become more flawless in their acting it is hard to say what other pathways might have a proper counter for dealing with such an issue aside from maybe scent based detection methods or those that might rely on more spiritual means of perception, but as much as I was expecting Ms Hermit’s special eyes to maybe catch something for instance, she never showed any such signs. Perhaps when she becomes a demigod she might access some related skill but by the same turn a Seer who hits that realm will probably be all the more difficult to detect. It makes me want to know more about the powers of more pathways to have a better idea of what might be the the biggest threat to the beyonders of the Seer pathway aside from Spectators. This has been pointless rambling by Ozwin.

I imagine that marionettist is more about remaining in hiding and letting your puppet be the "main actor" so more like he would be the Watson to his marionette's Sherlock.

However I don't think he'll go back to Sherlock any time soon more likely he will assume a new identity because Sherlock acted as a "Magician" so he'll have to change too many mannerisms to properly act as his new sequence, best to start fresh with a new persona.

Actually, after witnessing the bad luck of Anderson and Darkwell, he may have fears of about just every little thing now. Guns, heights, tall people, women (thanks to the demonesses)! Who knows?

A random thought:

Among the things Klein wished for, there are 2 I still remember:

1. For his air bullets to evolve and be able to be fired like a canon

2. For his flaming jump to evolve so he can produce flame out of thin air

I was thinking, when Klein becomes a demigod, will he be able to use flame jumping to move about easily within a certain range? Maybe he will be able to cause the flame to appear out of thin air quickly and he can traverse the distance fast and leave fast too...

Just a fantasy thought that came to me when I wondered if he will get a technique for fast movement 🤗

As long as we can understand them. Translating Chinese is very hard because it is a language full of metaphor, and implied meanings. Perhaps as the story progressed the translator changed to a more suitable word? Idk, footnotes would be helpful

The translator usually responds to questions in the comments when each particular change is asked about. The changes are made to terms determined to be more suitable based on the future chapter releases.

每次评论区有人问到个别的名称改动的时候，译者一般都会回的。这些改动一般都是为了找到更合适的术语来描述，而且都是基于未来的更新内容改动的。

You should read the raw translation and judged. Changing the names of so many sequences, pathways, people periodically is fine with me. Since there are so many misunderstanding in the raw like the relationship between witch and wizard, devil and abyss, Dark Emperor and Black, marionette and puppet, dog of forgan, scholar and scribe. And so much more!

Changing those names are essential since the author itself is sometimes cryptic in his naming! even if you read the mtl version of this would definitely make your mind burn since there are so many things that are not misleading.

Sorry, i'm just tired of reading the mtl.

更改这些名称翻译是必要的，因为作者本人有时候在命名的指向性上也很遮遮掩掩！即使你读的是机翻版本，这也绝对会让你的脑袋烧成一锅粥，因为有太多引起误解的东西了。

Whoa! So Roselle was actually a Sequence 2 of the Savant pathway and likely even became a Sequence 1 of mystery Pryer 😱. What a powerhouse. This opens up a lot of things.

Seems it's not the best of things being in a pathway which already has a true god. I wonder why the God of Steam and Machinery decided to oppress Roselle 🤔. Even a god is wary of the influence of an Angel in their pathway and wants to control them.

The Angel can't fight the God but seems they wield some authority and could divert believers to themselves. It really makes you not to like some gods much despite them only defending their benefits.

I hope no one becomes a god in the Seer Pathway and Klein manages to get to Sequence 1. Yes, there will be a bloody battle afterwards but it's still better

This chapter has "the Forsaken Land of God" rather than "the land forsaken by gods." The first line means that it's a land where God resides while the second implies that God left the land.

It looks like Roselle kept his pathway, but he's contemplating switching to the Mystery Prier Pathway now and has shown behavior characteristic of the Black Emperor closer to his death (changing the government to a republic and back to an empire, etc). What exactly did he do?! How many pathways did he mess around with at the end? Why did he choose to continue advancing when he already had so much?

He probably and ultimately had no choice to begin with. From the very beginning of him founding a nation, he was already watch by many secret organizations. If i were in his shoes, i would sacrifice everything to protect my love ones and achieved the dream of going back home. Thus, risking everything to promote oneself.

I wonder what other "Deities" are just the uniqueness of their pathway? So far it seems like The Hidden Sage and the Artificial Death are the only candidates but I wonder if maybe some of the Gods from the hidden organizations are also just Uniquenesses that gained sentience.

不知道还有没有其他的“神明”其实只是这条途径唯一性的？目前看来只有隐匿贤者和人造死神是潜在候选人，但我在想，也许有些隐秘组织的神也是获得了理性的唯一性呢？

There are many fake gods in the novel itself, they feed on the beliefs of there followers to become its anchors.

I think I know why the God of Steam and Machinery wanted to oppress Roselle and control him. Roselle was coming up with all these inventions than even the god, his influence was even greater and the God felt threatened. Not that Roselle could fight him but the faith of most believers might be in Roselle - a renowned creator - than in him.

At the level of an Angel though, Roselle couldn't take this lying down. Even his own son had been brainwashed to try control him. Roselle decided to switch pathways and become a Sequence 1 Angel.

As a mystery pryer, he would even have the chance of becoming a god. Plus switching pathways would still allow him to retain the Savant powers he used to have.

Too bad Roselle was betrayed and killed. Though, as an Angel, maybe he had set a way out for himself so he didn't perish completely 💁.

I think that if Zaratul hadn't gone mad, he could have helped Roselle avoid the betrayal and assassination through his divinations

我觉得我明白为什么蒸汽与机械之神想要压制罗赛尔并且控制他了。罗赛尔制造了如此多的发明创造，甚至比神还要多，他的影响力甚至比神本人还要大了，因此神感觉自己受到了威胁。不止是因为罗赛尔有可能和他作对，而且还因为他大部分的信徒的信仰都可能会归于罗赛尔——一个知名“发明家【造物主】”——而不是他本人。

虽然已经成为了天使级，但罗赛尔不愿意就此止步。甚至他自己的儿子都被洗脑，试图控制他。罗赛尔决定改换途径，成为序列1天使。

作为窥秘人，他就终于能有成神的机会了。而且换到相邻途径他还能保有以前通识者途径的能力。

可惜罗赛尔最终被背叛和刺杀了。不过，作为一个天使，也许他事先给自己留了一条后路，所以他还没有彻底死亡。

我觉得如果查拉图还没疯，他本来可能会用他的占卜能力帮助罗赛尔逃离被背叛和刺杀的命运的
