We report its near-complete biosynthesis and clarify the unexpected intermediate ecgonone for constructing the tropane skeleton in cocaine, which illustrates the beauty of Robison's biomimetic tropinone synthesis. The de novo biosynthesis of cocaine in tobacco is then realized, entailing significant implications for pharmaceutical production.

Liquid-ordered (Lo)/liquid-disordered (Ld) phase-coexisting vesicles were transferred to the solid support with microcavities for reconstructing pore-spanning lipid membranes. We design a series of linear polymers with different side groups for further coordination-driven self-assembly.
