辩护自己一向清廉劳苦
1 Αὐτοὶ γὰρ οἴδατε, ἀδελφοί, τὴν εἴσοδον ἡμῶν τὴν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ὅτι οὐ κενὴ γέγονεν,
2:1 弟兄们！你们自己也知道，我们来到你们那里，并非没有效果。
2:1 You know, brothers, that our visit to you was not a failure.
Αὐτοὶ = selves 自己

οἴδατε = you know 你们知道
ἀδελφοί = brothers 弟兄们
τὴν εἴσοδον = the visit 那来到
ἡμῶν = our 我们的

2 ἀλλὰ προπαθόντες καὶ ὑβρισθέντες καθὼς οἴδατε ἐν Φιλίπποις ἐπαρρησιασάμεθα ἐν τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν λαλῆσαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν πολλῷ ἀγῶνι.
2:2 你们也知道我们来到之前，曾在斐理伯吃了苦，受了凌辱；可是依靠着我们的天主，我们还有勇气，在艰巨的格斗中，给你们宣讲了天主的福音。
2:2 We had previously suffered and been insulted in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in spite of strong opposition.

τὸ εὐαγγέλιον = the gospel 那福音

ἐν πολλῷ = in many 在很多
ἀγῶνι = fight 争斗
3 ἡ γὰρ παράκλησις ἡμῶν οὐκ ἐκ πλάνης οὐδὲ ἐξ ἀκαθαρσίας οὐδὲ ἐν δόλῳ,
2:3 我们的讲劝并不是出于幻想，也不是出于不诚，也不是在于欺诈；
2:3 For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you.

ἡμῶν = our 我们的

ἐκ πλάνης = from error 从幻想
οὐδὲ = nor 也不是
ἐξ ἀκαθαρσίας = from impurity 从不洁净

ἐν δόλῳ = in trick 在诡计中
4 ἀλλὰ καθὼς δεδοκιμάσμεθα ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ πιστευθῆναι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον οὕτως λαλοῦμεν, οὐχ ὡς ἀνθρώποις ἀρέσκοντες ἀλλὰ θεῷ τῷ δοκιμάζοντι τὰς καρδίας ἡμῶν.
2:4 反之，我们是被天主考验合格而受委托传福音的人；我们宣讲，并不是为取悦于人，而是为取悦那考验我们心灵的天主。
2:4 On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.

δεδοκιμάσμεθα = we have been entrusted 我们被考验
ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ = by God 被天主
πιστευθῆναι = to be entrusted 有信心的
τὸ εὐαγγέλιον = the gospel 那福音

λαλοῦμεν = we speak 我们讲论
οὐχ = not 不
ὡς = as 正如
ἀνθρώποις = to men 对人
ἀρέσκοντες = pleasing 取悦
ἀλλὰ = but 而
θεῷ = to God 对神
τῷ δοκιμάζοντι = 那考验着
τὰς καρδίας = the hearts 那心
ἡμῶν = our 我们的
5 οὔτε γάρ ποτε ἐν λόγῳ κολακείας ἐγενήθημεν, καθὼς οἴδατε, οὔτε ἐν προφάσει πλεονεξίας, θεὸς μάρτυς,
2:5 我们从来没有用过谄媚之辞，就如你们所知道的，也没有托故贪婪，天主可以作证；
2:5 You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed--God is our witness.

ποτε = even 曾经
ἐν λόγῳ = in word 用话语
κολακείας = of flatter 巴结的
ἐγενήθημεν = we became 我们变成
καθὼς = just like 正如
οἴδατε = you know 你们知道

ἐν προφάσει = in excuse 在借口
πλεονεξίας = of greed 贪婪的
θεὸς = God 神
μάρτυς = witness 证人
6 οὔτε ζητοῦντες ἐξ ἀνθρώπων δόξαν, οὔτε ἀφ' ὑμῶν οὔτε ἀπ' ἄλλων,
2:6 也没有向任何人寻求过光荣：没有向你们，也没有向别人。
2:6 We were not looking for praise from men, not from you or anyone else. As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you,

ζητοῦντες = looking for 寻求
ἐξ ἀνθρώπων = out of men 从人
δόξαν = glory 光荣
οὔτε = nor 也不
ἀφ' = from 从
ὑμῶν = your 你们的

ἄλλων = of others 其他人的
7 δυνάμενοι ἐν βάρει εἶναι ὡς Χριστοῦ ἀπόστολοι, ἀλλὰ ἐγενήθημεν νήπιοι ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν. ὡς ἐὰν τροφὸς θάλπῃ τὰ ἑαυτῆς τέκνα,
2:7 我们当基督的宗徒，虽有权利叫人敬重我们，但我们在你们中却成了慈祥的，像抚育自己孩子的母亲。
2:7 but we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children.
δυνάμενοι = being able 能够
ἐν βάρει = in burden 在重担
εἶναι = to be 去成为
ὡς = like 正如
Χριστοῦ = of Christ 基督的
ἀπόστολοι = apostles 宗徒
ἀλλὰ = but 而
ἐγενήθημεν = we became 我们成了
νήπιοι = young 年少的
ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν = in among you 在你们中

τροφὸς = mother 母亲
θάλπῃ = she would care for 她会抚育
