Eternity

This poem is for one of my best friends, and, undoubtedtly,
the time we spent together.
When night fell,
the diamond-like shimmering stars
bend down to kiss you.
Would you miss me too?
When nostalgia came,
past memories flooded over me
like endless tides.
Were you by my side?
Gone were the days,
when we chatted against the vast blue sky.
How I wished the planet Earth could turn slowly
if I had to say farewell in a sigh.
Coming is the future,
when I will be chasing your pace tirelessly
just to respond to such heating passion buried inside—
I have been praying
that you could grant me a chance
to seek eternity together,
despite all those gossips and prejudice along the way.
