MO1 Her name is Rosemi Lovelock, yes? Your daughter I presume?
RL Yes, but she has nothing to do with--
MO1 She was with you at the scene of the crime. I'm here to determine whether she
was complicit in all of this, regardless of your assertions.
RL Assertions? You think I'm lying?
MO1 It is a possibility that I'm considering. For all I know, she could be
responsible for the fire. And you're taking the fall to protect her.
RL ...You just don't get it do you?
MO1 Enlighten me, Mr. Lovelock.
RL Look, I set fire to the city. I admit it. My daughter wasn't involved in that.

MO2 Sorry about yesterday, Mr. Lovelock, I get some of our officers can be
pretty uptight
RL Tell me about it. I'm glad someone else is here instead. Can't believe how
insensitive some people could be.
MO2 I completely understand how you feel. Not everyone has kids to call their
own, so they just don't get the things we'd do for them.
RL Finally! Someone talking sense here. You got kids too, sir?
MO2 A daughter. She's about 7 years old now. They grow up so fast really.
RL Yeah I know what that's like. My little Rosemi used to be the sweetest
thing ever. I mean she still is, but yeah...
MO2 She's gone a little rebellious?
RL I don't know if I'd say that, but maybe?
I'm just surprised, really. The other day I went to pick her up from her
campus at night. We were planning to get breakfast together the morning
after, you see. Next thing you know, she wasn't there at all!
MO2 She went hanging out with her friends late at night? Did she know you were
coming to pick her up though?
RL Not really... She said she'll come back on her own, so I thought I'd surprise
her by coming over. Turns out she went to see a concert, and didn't even
tell me!
MO2 Oh dear, that's troublesome.
RL Yeah, can you believe it? Like, when did she learn to plan things behind my
back!? Well I guess I understand why since my wife definitely wouldn't have
let her go there, but still! I really was surprised she did this.
MO2 Maybe she wanted to feel independent?
RL Doesn't mean she shouldn't tell her papa what she's up to. Needless to say,
I went to pick her up at the concert later and we had some serious
father-daughter talk.
MO2 Hope you weren't too hard on her.
RL Well, I wasn't that upset. I just wish she'd be responsible and tell me
first. She wasa lot more afraid that I'd let mama know she did this, so we
cut a deal. In exchange for my silence, she has to spend some quality
father-and-daughter time together.
MO2 Ever the doting parent, huh?
RL I hardly get to see her nowadays! They change so much when you're not
around...
MO2 So I take it that father-and-daughter time was why you were at the restaurant?
RL Yeah... I kinda wanted to try the food there, but the missus wasn't keen on
it. Figured it'd be a good place to spend time with my little rosey since my
wife won't be around.
MO2 I see. You're very close to your daughter aren't you? I'm envious.
RL I'd do anything in the world for her.
MO2 As a father, I completely resonate with that feeling of yours. Sorry things
didn't go well during that father-daughter time.
RL Ah, that... You do what you have to, I guess. I got hurt. Things happened.
Now I'm here. I sincerely hope you guys are keeping your word about not
harming my family.
MO2 I'll do my best to not give you and your family a hard time. Seems like

RL What is this? Good cop, bad cop?
MO1 I'm not in charge of who and when I'm supposed to question, Mr. Lovelock.
This is simply a coincidence. Now let's get this over with shall we?
RL Right... so what do you want today?
MO1 I need your account on what exactly happened before the fire.
RL I was about to have big dinner with my daughter, that's what.
MO1 Then you decide to blow up the entire district with your fire? My colleague
tells me you're quite the model parent. But I have to say that's very
irresponsible of you to endanger your daughter's life like that.
RL Listen here woman. Don't pretend you don't know anything. You know what
happened down there. Those demons... they just came out of nowhere, rushing
in, attacking everything in sight. I know you guys are covering things up,
but at least stick up for the victims involved. You see these injuries of
mine, right? I'm one of them!
MO1 We are aware, Mr. Lovelock. Had you not fled the scene with your daughter,
we would have been able to treat you.
RL I didn't want to take any chances.
MO1 Chances against what?
RL You know damn well against what.
MO1 Not eager to explain huh? Fine, we can put that aside for now. Tell me how
your injuries happened.
RL Those demons rampaged through the restaurant, flipping and tearing things
apart. It seemed as if they were looking for something frantically. But they
were really violent about it.
RL My daughter somehow found herself in the middle of things. So I stepped in.
My body reacted on its own and without realizing it, those demons did a real
number on me.
MO1 That was when you decided to burn everything down?
RL Not by choice. I... lost control, I guess? I'm not really sure. All of a
sudden the fires happened... Next thing I knew, those demons were burning
to their deaths.
MO1 You weren't sure if the fire was your own doing?
RL No no! That was me alright. Maybe the injuries triggered something in me.
MO1 Your loss of control caused millions in property damage, Mr. Lovelock.
But if your claims are true, your actions inadvertently protected the lives
of many innocents from those demon-like creatures.
RL I-- what? Weren't there casualties?
MO1 All 36 of them were those demons that attacked the city, Mr Lovelock.
RL For real!? That's amazing! I knew she- I mean I knew I still got it!
MO1 I'd consider this as nothing more than a mere fluke. Don't get me wrong,
Mr. Lovelock. While we are grateful, I hope you understand that this doesn't
absolve you of the past fires that you and your family fled from.
RL Still going on about that, huh?

RL A hero? I wouldn't say that. What kind of hero gets arrested by the cops
anyway?
MO2 Don't feel too bummed about it. We're just assessing the situation, making
sure you're not a threat. Standard government procedures and all.
RL I wish you guys treated me and my family like this the other day instead of
coming in guns blazing.
MO2 Yes, I apologize for that. We don't know the situation as it is right now.

powers a little yesterday.
RL Oh that. Not a big deal really. But if you're asking me to do it again today,
I'm afraid I--
MO1 Don't worry, I won't be asking that of you. Instead, I have other things I'd
like to question you about.
RL Well then, fire away.
MO1 I was wondering about your mastery of the flames you could produce. Burning
those demons without harming any civilians is no easy feat. From what I heard,
you were also able to burn even smoke. First I've heard of such a thing.
RL Well, yeah I'm just that good... what about it?
MO1 Well, up until the demon attack, the last known record of a fiery accident
that you and your family were involved in happened 2 years ago. But prior to
that, there was at least 1 incident each year. Can you explain this
discrepancy?
RL There's no discrepancy. I just mastered my sick fire manipulation skills 2
years ago.
MO1 And how old are you, Mr. Lovelock?
RL XX years old, why?
MO1 And you've had these powers your whole life?
RL I guess, yeah?
MO1 Wouldn't that be weird then? That the accidents began in the 2000s when
you're already an adult then. Have you not experienced any sort of accidents
when you were younger?
RL Ah well... consider me a late bloomer, I guess.
MO1 These incidents began after your marriage, it seems. Trouble in the
household I presume? Stress of raising kids? Mid-life crisis?
RL Nothing of the sort. My family and I get along well.
MO1 Is that so? Do you get along well with your son too?
RL I uh... Um, yeah. I guess.
MO1 And where is he now? He doesn't appear to be living with you at the moment.
He moved out?
RL I... yeah. I guess he did.
MO1 You seem unsure, Mr. Lovelock, why is that?
RL Because... I don't know.
MO1 You don't know the whereabouts of your own son?
RL No I do, I just.... No. Sorry. I don't know. He had enough of the lifestyle
I forced on him. All the moving and relocating. One day he simply decided he
doesn't want to be a part of this anymore.
MO1 He ran away?
RL Never heard from him since. I did all this to protect him. But I guess he's
old enough to take care of himself.
MO1 Sorry to hear that. I think we've discussed enough for today.
RL Don't be sorry. I'd like to think I raised him well enough to be on his own.
MO1 I hope you are able to reconcile again with him in the future.

don't investigate them. Further investigation into the remaining members of the

Despite failing miserably in the Pyromancer tests and getting himself injured,
he insisted on proving his Pyromancy by cooking up a BBQ. While it proves
nothing, the BBQ regardless was great.
