The Sound of Seeds (2023)

Light moves along the veins of the plant stems, listening to the vibrations of the air, reflections of the petals, the sound of the dust falling and bubbles in the water.

Imagine the silent plants whispering as the sun shines on them and photosynthesis. The flowers are ears and the roots under the ground sense the vibrations of the water source. Seeds germinate, everything revives, life on earth is interconnected and symbiotic, living organisms transmit and receive nutrients compounds, streaming life signals, decay and decompose after death, return to the cycle of life. 

This film is about light detecting plants and vibrations that translates into sound signals, it was shot in home and botanical garden in autumn and winter. microscopic plants revealing infinite details and textural sounds. Switching the human perspective to perceive the micro world, becoming a leaf-cutting ant and walking along the paths of plants. There is a jubilation in the emptiness where we are not seeing and listening.

光探测植物，感知空气振动的声音，尘埃，气泡，阳光的波长，叶面花瓣光合作用吸收与反射，光能转化为电信号，调录生命的声音织体。

想象花的耳语，地底的根系聆听水源的声音而生根，花朵听见蜜蜂的嗡嗡声而授粉。种子发芽🌱，万物复苏，地球的生命相互依存而共生，生物间传输的有机化合物，流淌的生物信号。出生，茂盛，腐朽衰亡，在死亡后分解，重新回归万物的循环。

短片拍摄于2022的秋冬/家和莱顿植物园。微观植物展现的有趣纹理，人类视角转换为切叶蚁，随意切一块叶片沿植物的茎叶行走，搬回巢穴。听与视的微妙界限下，虚空中有无数的欢庆正在发生。
