In today’s world of advanced science and technology, we still greatly value our artists and writers.

What can arts tell us about life that science and technology cannot?

In a world increasingly surrounded by cutting -edge technology , we come to a point that we have to reevaluate what arts can contribute to us differently. And this sheds light on how the combination of science and art could affect our life to a large extent .

In terms of the aspect of artists such as prestigious composers as well as painters/musicians, they could color our life by diversifying aesthetic factors .That is so say ,through their masterpieces ,we could get an spiritual enjoyment which could not be offered by technological products.No one could deny ,when standing in front of 蒙娜丽莎 or involving into 贝多芬，the breathtaking feeling -namely- the original beauty and humanity is what intrigues us, as if we were brought into a time machine rocketing back to the past ; no matter how time flies , the beauty exists .

Besides, literate works , just name a few , 莎士比亚 但丁 ，beat us strikingly ,thus ,impress us permanently .Compared to technological devices , however advanced they could be ,phones ,computers, for example , they would soon be abandoned for the sake of technology upgrading. This once-everyone -in -hand little thing eventually would disappear in history with a destiny of transient.Conversely ,in contrast with the transient ,the literary treasure would eternalize with humankind ,experiencing the flow of time and the change of generations.Provided that there were no art, what would happen ? It would be likely that we would end up mourning the arid desert of spiritual life. These ,admittedly ,are the value and importance that could by no means being neglected .

That does not suggest that technology does not facilitate our life . Technology, factually, has already been indispensable in our daily life .Everytime we open our eyes we breath , most of us would ecstaticly cheer how lucky we could live and witness the booming world, and meanwhile ,take advantage of the convenience that technology provides.Where this essay stands ,however, as I argued above ,is, now, it comes to the time that we give the same emphasize to art as we worship science.

To sum up ,what shapes an enlivend world is the symohonious intertwining with material world and psychic world. As a tired consumist in this consumption world , I am not calling for , but humbly suggest that ,as long as you feel thirsty spiritually ,come to the art.
