第五节 无须提到施动者
下面这些句子的动作是人发出的,但施动者信息在句中并不重要,可以省去。汉语
中有时也会这样表达。
1. The first question went to him. 第一个问题是问他的。
2. Her question received no answer. 没人回答她的问题。
3. A telegram came from Moscow. 一份来自莫斯科的电报。
4. Reports are coming in of a major earthquake in Mexico.
传来的消息说墨西哥发生一场大地震。
5. My TV came in yesterday. 我的电视是昨天送来的。 come in: to be received 得到
6. Your TV is ready. 你的电视修好了。
7. No card or note came with it. 上面既没有卡片也没有便条。
8. Calls to the florist are in vain, it was a cash purchase.
多次打电话询问花店,均无所获,用现金支付。
9. All of those calls have to go to a personal phone.
这些电话都会打到个人电话上。
